Section One

Madeline: master strategist of Section One. Her specialty wasn't hardware or mission logistics, but rather the emotional and psychological aspects of the job. She took her own life in season 4. (Played by Alberta Watson)

Operations: the leader of Section One. Operations designs Section's missions, liaisons with the few people in government who know of Section's existence, and makes "personnel" decisions -- including who should live and who should die. He has always considered Nikita's humane ways of accomplishing Section's goals a form of insubordination, and has attempted to eliminate her on more than one occasion. He was killed in fifth season.(Played by Eugene Robert Glazer)

Michael: Nikita's trainer, mentor, and Section One superior. Sensual, dark and devious, his composed and calculating exterior hides a passionate heart, one that is forever bonded to Nikita. (Played By Roy Dupuis)

Walter: the Section One equivalent of James Bond's "Q." Although the agents possess formidable skills and experience, none could survive long without the high-tech gadgets he devises. A man with a colorful past, even by the Section's standards, he's weathered, cantankerous, and bluntly honest. His dedication to providing Section's operatives with maximum protection in the field also extends to Nikita, who considers Walter her closest friend in Section. (Played By Don Francks)

Seymour Birkoff: a computer genius who cracked some of the world's most secret and complex codes and whose natural skills were instrumental to the success of Section One. He goes by just "Birkoff" and is also one of Nikita's close freinds. He took his own life in Season 4 in order to save the rest of section. (Played By Matthew Ferguson)
